What Betrayal Is

When you saw the title of this post, did scenarios of betrayal come to your mind? Well scenarios of betrayal came to my mind because I've been betrayed quite a number of times. Don't worry, I'll tell you about a few of them.

Once I was acting all calm and reserved. I didn't want to make it known that I was in dire need of food. In that moment did my stomach decide to growl. It made noise so loud that my hunger was made known to those that were present. I felt betrayed. How could it? How could my stomach betray me like that??

Another time, I was asked if I had gotten medication for catarrh. I replied: "no, I'm fine now". You guessed right. My body chose that moment to let out a sneeze. This is a few among the other times I've been betrayed.


The dictionary seems to have several definitions of betrayal. But I like to see betrayal as more of deceit and deliberate  disloyalty. Betrayal involves breaking of trust. You know, a person once said " betrayal is the most devastating loss a person can experience". And I must say, betrays hurts really bad.

When a person tells you a secret, you betray that person if you tell that secret to someone else. Regardless of the circumstance. Betrayal in perfect words is "a stab in the back".

When someone believes in you enough to trust you, it doesn't speak well to break that person's trust in you. It causes a lot of damage. The person might never trust again. You might ruin relationships by breaking a trust. This is a few among the many damages of betrayal.


Betrayal causes heartache too severe. So I urge you, please do not betray.

    Betrayal is an attitude one shouldn't have because as you said betrayal causes a lot of damage to oneself i.e the person betrayed. As a kid when I lost my mum I felt betrayed by God and my mother but as I was growing up i start to realize that God loves me than my thoughts. I thank God. 🧕🌹

    Life is so funny, we can't live independently, yet all those we depends on will betray us at one point or another. We will always be betrayed no matter how careful we may deal with people. Always following ya ma'am

    Nice write-up. I have gotten from this that betrayals are natural especially with the two examples up.

It's All In Your Eyes

" Look into my eyes" has anyone ever said these words to you? Then it may be that such person already understands that the eye is a window to the heart. Deep connections can be felt with souls by looking at people. No, not at their figures but into their eyes. There's no place to hide once a person has gotten into your eye for the eye is road to your heart. Its all in the eyes. Kindness to Self

Life is hard. And you do not have to make it harder, by being hard on yourself. I know, sometimes kindness to self seems like a difficult task. And you're mad at yourself for a million reasons.
