Steps

As you take small steps - each leading to greatness, in your quiet moments, think of those that have helped you come as far as you have. Yes, you're not there yet, but think of days when you wished you'll be where you are now. Maybe you never thought you'll be where you are now, yet you are not where you were a few years ago. Smile as you think of the efforts of several people to get you where you are.


It was all your handiwork? No one helped you get here? Then think of your parents. Think of your friends. Think of those that have recommended you. Think of those kind words that were said to you. Those kind words that gave you courage to take another bold step. Those kind words that were said that inspired you to do more. Think - really think of those tiny help that seem insignificant but gave you strength on the inside.

Now you see? You've not been alone on this journey. People have directly or indirectly supported you.

Appreciate them.

It wasn't just them, God helped you too. Appreciate Him too.

Go now, and be a reason why someone else feels grateful.

How Inspiration Comes

It comes in form of a rush. I mean my inspiration. Just a moment ago, it wasn't here and now its here. One thing I'm sure of - if I don't put this down right now, it'll be gone and I wouldn't have it back. If by chance I get it back, it wouldn't be the way it came now. Inspiration's weird right? But what can we do? Have I mentioned already that its inspiration to write that I refer to in this post? I like to sleep with a pen and paper on my bed, because right when I close my eyes to sleep, that's when the words come to me. Now I have two options. I either close my eyes and dream, or I pick up my pen and paper to pour down ink. The end result of the first is a good sleep. While the end result of the second, is what you now read.
