  • Recite the Qur'an: No doubts, every second spent reciting the Qur'an will not only bring you closer to Allah, but will soften your heart and earn you lots of reward.
  • Listen to the Qur'an: Replace music with Qur'an and watch how you get closer to Allah this Ramadan. Remember, the Qur'an helps soften the heart.

  • Ponder over the Qur'an: Spend moments thinking about the words of Allah. If you don't understand Arabic, then read the meaning of a few verses in English or whichever language you're fluent in. This helps you get closer to Allah.
  • Learn the meaning of what you say in solah: This helps improve the quality of your solah, thus bringing you closer to Allah. This also helps increase your submission to your Creator.
  • Give secret charity: Do good deeds that just you and Allah are aware of. This helps a great deal in building a bond with Allah, thus bringing you closer to Allah.
  • Another tip is to talk to Allah in secret: Smile as you talk to Him. Tell Him your wishes and your dreams. Talk to Allah like you see Him, and if you can't do that, consider then that He sees and hears you.
  • Are your parents alive? Be kind to them: Lower unto your parents the wings of submission. Go on errands if they need you to. This is a way to get closer to Allah. Give them money too please. Give them with love. Listen when they speak.
  • Discuss the words of Allah: Talk to people about Allah, about the Qur'an and about the messenger(peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). This helps you go closer to Allah.
And Allah knows best.

Since you read till the end, I'll give one last tip.

Deep connections can be felt with souls by looking at people. No, not at their figures but into their eyes. There's no place to hide once a person has gotten into your eye for the eye is road to your heart. Its all in the eyes. Your thoughts, your words, your emotions - anger, hate, pain, love, fear, agitation, tension the list goes on. Its in the eye. I've seen pure admiration in someone else's eyes. I've seen jealousy, distaste, kindness, confusion, deception, love and even lies in the eyes. So I can say from experience that our emotions are in our eyes. But my resolution isn't based on personal experience alone. Research by Adams Ander...

Of course you need to look at the negative and figure a way out, but be careful not to become engrossed in the negative. 2 . Exercise regularly: Take this from me, exercise is a gr...
